The Casting a wide net: video coursecasting... idylls by a stream on a pod conference held on October 20, 2006 at the University at Buffalo was the beginning of a discussion about recent findings and experiences regarding academic coursecasting and its cousins - podcasting, webcasting and other digital/distance education technologies.
The focus of the conference was on large scale digital video applications for the creation and distribution of instructional content. Sessions explored the identity of coursecasting, including the pedagogical implications.
The conference was funded through SUNY's Conferences on Computing in the Disciplines.
